We went to a BBQ last night at an old friend’s place. We met a lot of new people which was cool. I think we ended up telling everyone what churches we’ve visited so far in our three months in New York City. Here’s the list (in approximate order of what I like the most so far):
The Village Church
Christ Church
North Brooklyn Vineyard
Times Square Church
Astoria Community Church
QueensWest Church
Calvary Church
The Journey
Christian City Church
Redeemer Presbyterian Church
Personally, I think I’m done visiting churches and ready to pick either The Village Church or Christ Church. I like both of them a lot for different reasons. The things I like most about them is that neither of them are production-heavy. Their services are extremely real and genuine. I don’t want to go to church on Sunday feeling like someone’s trying to sell me something or put on a show for me.
