Girl pop

Some people would be ashamed to admit this but I’ve always had a soft spot for indie/folk girl pop. I used to be a huge Sarah McLachlan fan before she started going downhill after Surfacing.

Anyway, I’ve recently went on a girl pop binge with the purchase of the following CDs:

Feist, The Reminder
Sara Bareilles, Little Voices
A Fine Frenzy, One Cell in the Sea
Ingrid Michaelson, Girls and Boys
Kate Nash, Made of Bricks

I haven’t had a chance to give them a thorough listen yet, but from what I’ve heard so far, they’re all pretty good.

    Dude-
Afterglow is worth a thorough listen before you go downgrading Sarah. She may be 40, but she still blows away much of what passes for indie/folk girl pop music.
Then check out Butterfly Boucher while you’re at it.
    All The Best,
    Joe
