With all the talk in Washington DC of having a lame duck session of Congress and the lame duck presidency, I am feeling like I am in a lame duck status with my time in London. I can’t start anything substantive while I’m here and just have to ride out the rest of my time and try to make the most of it.
Things I will miss about London
Pubs
HTB
Persian food
Tea time
Pubs
All the friends I made during my 6 months here
Having good mobile phone service everywhere
Ease of travel to continental Europe
Oh, and did I mention the pubs?
Following the Premiere League, specifically Fulham
Things I am looking forward to in New York
Good Korean food
Better plumbing
Shops with longer opening hours
My guitars
Working with my colleagues in the New York office
Good Greek food
Being able to watch American football
The random, yet regularly occuring revelation that I am living in New York City, one of the greatest cities in the world

things you prolly won’t welcome back when in NYC:
the smell in the subways
uber-liberals shouting at you against anything & everything
the smell in the streets
…but other than that, hope your move will be smooth! when you guys come back, we’ll go eat…and eat…and eat…

Believe me, I can’t get enough of them!
